We are now under 24 hours away from saying goodbye to Mr Peterborough, Ulrich Østergaard in his Farewell Meeting on Sunday.
Ulrich has been overwhelmed by the support he has had from Sponsors and those who took part in the auctions.
He said: “I can’t believe the generosity I have received in the lead up to Sunday, I have been overwhelmed by the response we have had to various sponsorship packages and the auctions, Sunday should be a great fun day for everyone.”
All those who brought sponsorship packages and won the various auctions will be contacted via email before Sunday providing you with details of what you have brought and / or won and what you will need to do on Sunday.
We will be using gates 2 and 3 on Sunday with free parking in the west field. Although season tickets will not be valid for this event, you can still enter via the riders gate, pay and park within the stadium along with any disabled supporters. For non Panthers fans, the gates and parking will be well signposted to help find your way to the right area. Disabled fans and VIPS will also enter through the riders gates. The Riders and staff will be able to enter the stadium from 1.30pm with fans gates opening at 2pm.
As mentioned before Ulrich has planned a four team tournament event featuring many of his riding friends and talent available in the UK and the four teams line up as follows (not riding order):
Peterborough Panthers, managed by Trevor Swales and sponsored by Chatteris Town Butchers will include – Ben Basso, Simon Lambert, Troy Batchelor and Hans Andersen. Glasgow Tigers, managed by Cami Brown and sponsored by Allied Vehicles will include – Chris Harris, Adam Roynon, Paul Starke and Drew Kemp. Redcar Bears, managed by Ben Duffill and sponsored by Stava Accountancy will include – Charles Wright, Danyon Hume, Leon Flint and Ben Barker. Ulrich’s Stars, managed by Carl Johnson and sponsored by Motiv Car Accessories will include Danny King, Jonas Knudsen, Patrick Baek and Erik Riss.
Ulrich, having ridden for multiple teams in the UK is hoping to see as many of his friends and fans from all over as possible.
“This is my time to say thanks and goodbye to all the fans who have stood by me and supported me in my career” says Ulle as he makes the final preparations for Sunday.
