ULRICH Ostergaard, a Peterborough icon, is back with the club to complete their 2020 Premiership side.
And it means the Crendon Panthers will have three of their stunning 2006 title winners as they look to roll back the years and bring the glory days back to Alwalton.
Dynamic Dane Ostergaard admits he regards the Showground as his adopted home in the UK.
“I’m really happy to be given this opportunity to return to Peterborough,” he said.
“It’s a place I know so well and I guess it’s like home to me now in England.
“I have never hidden my desire to come back to Peterborough as it’s a great club to ride for and a superb racetrack.
“I like the look of the team the management have put together and I’m sure we can have a good season. The team has three fellow Danes as well which will be good and we all get on but I’m sure there will be plenty of competition.
“The fans have always been great to me in the past and I’m sure this season will be no different.
“I want to have a solid season and hopefully better than last season when nothing seemed to go right for me personally jumping from club to club.”
Ostergaard will feature in the club’s 50th anniversary meeting on Sunday week, March 15 – the opening meeting of the season.
Individual rider sponsorship is to be £300 per rider and £200 for the two reserves.
This will include a signed race jacket presented at the end of the meeting, a signed photograph, parade walk out with your rider, name in the programme next to the rider and podium presentation if you are lucky enough to sponsor a rider in the final.
Heat sponsorship is £100 per heat, company logo or your name alongside the heat of your choice on the racecard.
