NO.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen is hopeful of seeing another positive Peterborough performance and result on the road when they travel to Ipswich on Thursday (July 20, 7.30).
The Crendon Panthers pulled off an impressive 45-45 draw at play-off bound Wolverhampton on Monday as they delivered, arguably, their best display of the season so far.
It was the first away league point they’ve secured in this year’s Sports Insure Premiership and with the Panthers’ riders leaving the West Midlands in good spirits, despite missing out on the extra league point in a Super Heat, Iversen feels they can now give Ipswich a good run for their money who have lost three of their six home league fixtures.
“I think if we take some of the things from Monday to Ipswich then we can get another good result,” he said.
“They’ve been struggling a little bit; they’ve got the strongest top two in the league but I would say we should be able to match the rest of their team.
“There’s still a lot of racing to go and if we can win some meetings on the road then it would obviously be good and that would help us pick up our form when we get back to the home meetings as well.”
It’s a fourth straight away fixture for the Crendon Panthers with Connor Mountain again replacing club captain Hans Andersen at reserve.
A reminder also to supporters that Peterborough are back at the East of England Arena on Monday (July 24, 7.30) when they do battle with King’s Lynn.
