PETERBOROUGH’S run of away fixtures continue when they head to Wolverhampton on Monday (July 17, 7.30).
The Crendon Panthers were set to host Sheffield at the East of England Arena on Thursday - but a torrential downpour an hour before scheduled start time saw that fixture postponed.
It means it will be a third straight Sports Insure Premiership fixture on the road for Peterborough as the wait for a win on their travels continues.
They face a Wolverhampton side who boast a 100 per cent home record - but the Panthers did give the Wolves a run for their money during their 50-40 defeat at Monmore Green in May.
Team Manager Rob Lyon will be absent due to a pre-booked family holiday, but is hoping the Panthers can give another good account of themselves in the West Midlands, despite acknowledging the size of the challenge.
“We’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain,” Lyon said.
“Wolves have been pretty formidable around there this year and I get the impression that it’s been a lot slicker than in previous years there.
“So it’s a hard place to go to but the boys need to go there with the right, positive approach and give it everything to try and get something out of it.
“Vadim (Tarasenko) has never seen the place before so it will be a totally new experience for him but the rest of the boys know what it’s like around there so let’s hope we can go and do something.”
In Lyon’s absence, former Birmingham chief Laurence Rogers will step in.
Meanwhile, Connor Mountain guests at reserve for the Panthers with captain Hans Andersen unavailable for the fixture.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint. PETERBOROUGH: Niels-Kristin Iversen, Richie Worrall, Benjamin Basso, Ben Cook, Vadim Tarasenko, Connor Mountain, Jordan Jenkins.
