CRAIG Cook will step in for Peterborough in their Grand Final decider with Belle Vue at Alwalton on Thursday (7.30).
Cook is a former Aces rider and was also lined up for the Panthers side for 2019, only for the signing to fall through at the last minute.
But now Cook, who watched the first leg in Manchester on Monday, will step in to help Peterborough in their first Grand Final at the top level since 2006.
Boss Rob Lyon said: “I’d like to welcome Craig into the side and thank him for agreeing to step in.
“We know what a good rider he can be and I’m confident he can do the job to help us get the result we need to become champions.”
Peterborough are two points down after a stunning first leg at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday night.
The club have also confirmed that Michael Palm Toft will ride through the pain barrier with his broken fingers and Jordan Palin is fine despite a crash riding at Leicester on Tuesday.
Further details regarding the Panthers riding order will be issued on raceday.
