BRAD READY TO RETURN

Thursday October 29, 2020
BRADLEY Wilson-Dean is ready to hand Peterborough a selection poser for next season.

New Zealand racer Wilson-Dean was lined up to race in the UK this year but pulled out on the eve of the season because of a troublesome shoulder injury.

Now he insists he’s fit and ready to go racing again and would like to return to Alwalton if a team place opens up.

Panthers have first refusal on all their riders in the planned 2020 side but it remains to be seen if everyone makes themselves available.

He said: “I’m as fit as I can be and ready to come back to Europe and race in 2021.

“In a way I’ve not missed anything due to Covid hitting everyone hard and the season in England being called off before it started.

“I really would love to be back with Peterborough next season but realise the promotion have a few decisions to make regarding the team plans but I’m ready.”

Wilson-Dean, who celebrated his 26th birthday on Monday, is also keen to open up new opportunities by riding on the continent.

He said: “Racing in Poland and possibly Sweden is still on my mind but I realise I need to start the ball rolling again over there.

“I’m still stinging from my previous experience in Poland as I felt I did nothing wrong in the meetings I rode but I guess that’s how the Poles operate.”

Speedway bosses are continuing to plan for an Easter start next year in line with Rugby League officials looking at levels below Super League starting at that time when crowds should be back in stadia.
