PETERBOROUGH owner Keith Chapman has revealed how top Grand Prix star Niels-Kristian Iversen is one of the best riders he’s ever worked with.
Iversen signed for the Crendon Panthers in March to ride this season before the delay.
He’s set to start his Polish League campaign with continued uncertainty over whether he will have any Peterborough meetings this year.
“Niels and me are good friends and I regard the man very highly,” he said. “He’s a total pleasure to work with, he was when we were together at King’s Lynn and he was during discussions to bring him back to Peterborough.
“It made sense because he is based locally anyway. I wish every rider was like Niels to deal with, he makes it so very easy and enjoyable and I sincerely hope we get to see him racing in the red of Peterborough again at some stage.
“I’ll be following his scores in Poland and wish him all the best.”
Polish League racing is going ahead behind closed doors which won’t be possible in Britain as it would be unviable.
Promoters are awaiting the next government update on lifting of restrictions before making a decision on whether there is a way forward for any racing in 2020.
If a league is possible it seems the fixture list will be slashed, possibly by half.
