PANTHERS LAUNCH ANNIVERSARY LOGO
PLUS... Club keen to keep 90-minute entertainment package... First signing reveal at Supporters Club event

PETERBOROUGH Speedway will celebrate their 50th anniversary next season.
And the club can now reveal their new logo for what promises to be an exciting year for the club.
Panthers bosses have also confirmed they are planning to stage a special anniversary meeting with a date and line-up to be confirmed.
Club owner Keith Chapman said: “I like the logo a lot and it we will carry it throughout the year.
“The anniversary meeting will be a big event but we are waiting for more details on the Premiership and Cup fixtures before deciding when it will be best to slot it in the calendar.
“We want it to be a celebration of the club’s great history at the same time as providing great entertainment for the fans.”

PETERBOROUGH co-promoter Colin Pratt is keen to keep the 90-minute entertainment package at the club next season.
Pratt took great pride in the speedy running of meetings at the Showground and says it’s vital to encourage adults to bring the younger generation on a school night.
Premiership meetings only take place on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the UK and Pratt admits a quick finish is vital.
“If it was a Sunday afternoon it wouldn’t be an issue but we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend our meetings,” he said.
“To that end I’m keen to emphasise the 90-minute package, where we start racing around 7.35 and aim to have it done by 9.05 in order for locals to be home at a good time.
“It’s also a firm belief I have that supporters don’t want to sit around watching tractors go around with long gaps in between meetings unless it’s absolutely necessary for track preparation.
“But since Buster (Keith Chapman) came to Peterborough the track was so good we could get through some meetings with minimal disruption.
“Obviously there will always be risks of delays because of a crash here and there, but generally I want to adopt the 90-minute package for supporters.
“I don’t want to keep them hanging around and on a couple of occasions last season we finished just before 9pm.”

PANTHERS are pressing ahead with their team building plans and the first signing will be announced at the Supporters Club Christmas Quiz.
It takes place on Friday December 13 at the Post Office Sports and Social Club, Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough PE1 2AU with Pratt and boss Carl Johnson in attendance.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and admission to non-members is £2.
