INJURY UPDATE
Tuesday July 16, 2019
PETERBOROUGH duo Josh Bates and Charles Wright have started their recovery from injuries sustained in Monday’s bruising clash with Belle Vue.
Panthers went down 50-40 on a dramatic night in front of the BT Sport cameras.
Wright suffered a dislocated shoulder but only needs a few days rest and he should be back racing soon.
And Bates, who was knocked out for a short amount of time, remains in hospital as a precautionary measure awaiting further scan results.
Bates is in good spirits and would like to pass on his sincere thanks for all the get well messages he has been sent over the last 24-hours.
Crendon Panthers owner Keith Chapman said: “Everyone connected with the club would like to wish both Josh and Charles the very best.
“They are both tough guys and we look forward to welcoming them back into the side at the first available opportunity.”
Meanwhile Panthers are close to finalising their final three home league meetings of the season to beat the play-off deadline in September.
We will issue full details in due course and we hope to enjoy some enjoyable racing to round off the season.
