PETERBROUGH are counting down to one of the biggest days on the domestic calendar.
The SGB Championship Fours returns to the East of England Arena on Sunday June 23 with every team at that level represented.
It means the teams will be on neutral ground following the Crendon Panthers' promotion to the Premiership in the winter. They won the title in the previous two seasons.
The event features a bumper 34 races with 44 riders plus reserves in what promises to be a festival of Speedway. Panthers co-promoter Colin Pratt said: "Peterborough is the spiritual home of the Fours and I'm sure there will be a carnival atmosphere.
"It's great for the event to come back here and we expect fans from across the UK to come along and have a great day out.
"Although Peterborough won't be defending the title, I expect a lot of our fans to come along and enjoy a great day out."
All 11 teams will race off over 22 heats before the top four go into a 12-race final to establish the champions.
The teams are: Berwick, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leicester, Newcastle, Redcar, Scunthorpe, Sheffield and Somerset.
Admission prices are great value at £20 adults, £15 concessions, Children 5-15 £4 and Under 5 free. A special souvenir programme will be produced and on sale for £4.
The action starts at 2pm with a parade at 1.45 and gates open at 12.30.
