PETERBOROUGH Speedway are delighted to confirm the appointment of Carl Johnson as co-promoter.
Carl, a lifelong fan of the club, adds the role to that of Crendon Panthers team manager ahead of the new season and will work alongside Colin Pratt who joined the club two months ago.
He said: “I’m delighted and proud to become a promoter of Peterborough Speedway.
“I rode for the club briefly, I’ve had lots of roles behind the scenes and I’ve had a terrific time as team manager.
“It feels like the right time to now take another step up the ladder and I’ll do the very best I can to make the club successful – on and off the track – in the SGB Premiership.
“Keith Chapman (club owner) is very keen to have someone on the doorstep as a promoter and it's flattering to have been given the nod."
Carl will be on hand alongside the riders and Colin Pratt at the club’s press and practice day this Wednesday (11am) before the opening meeting of the season against Belle Vue at the East of England Arena on Monday April 1.
