BEN Barker and Charles Wright will be the first Peterborough riders in action this season when they compete in the Ben Fund Bonanza at Leicester on Sunday (2pm).
The Crendon Panthers duo are both included in the line-up for the traditional curtain-raiser which raises vital funds for injured riders.
Barker is an ever-present in the event which is being staged for the tenth time – although ironically he would have missed the 2018 staging at Redcar due to injury, only for it to be postponed.
Other familiar riders for Panthers fans include former club captain Ulrich Ostergaard, who is now with Birmingham in the Championship, 2018 No.1 Scott Nicholls, and two other ex-Peterborough men Danny King and Paul Starke.
The meeting is a full 20-heat individual plus a semi-final and Final, and an auction will take place after the final presentation.
Gates open at midday with pre-meeting events starting at 12.30, including Men in Black and British Youth races.
Admission prices are £20 adults, £15 concessions, children (10-16) £5, and under-10s free.
