PANTHERS manager Carl Johnson has reached the final three in the Peterborough Telegraph Sports Awards.
Johnson is on the shortlist for the Sports Personality of the Year award, where he faces opposition from swimming and ice hockey as he goes up against COPS star Jamie Scholes and Phantoms skipper James Ferrara.
The winners will be announced at the annual presentation on Thursday March 7 at the Holiday Inn.
Johnson said: “I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for me. It’s an honour to even be on the shortlist with so many special people involved in local sports within Peterborough, so to make the top three for a second consecutive year is amazing.”
Unfortunately the club’s other representatives on the initial list – Tom Bacon in the Sportsman of the Year category, and the team as a whole for their Championship Fours victory in Team of the Year – missed out on making the final cut.
