PETERBOROUGH are aiming to be stars of the screen next season.
Newly-promoted Panthers are back in the big time after winter promotion to the Premiership and as a consequence they are in line for appearances on BT Sport, British Speedway’s broadcast partner.
Viewing figures for BT Sport’s coverage of the sport – both domestically and internationally – are on a sharp rise and Peterborough boss Carl Johnson can’t wait to get his side noticed on a wider scale.
“Everyone knows what this club means to me,” said local man Johnson. “And it’s my intention to have a successful season so we spread the word about the sport.
“We are guaranteed at least one home meeting live on TV and we’ll be looking for fans to turn out in force to create a great atmosphere.
“But also the more successful we are the more appearances we will have on BT Sport. Get in the play-offs and we’ll be on there even more.
“The East of England Arena is one of the fastest and most spectacular tracks in the country and there have been many memorable TV meetings broadcast from there. Hopefully the same will apply in the coming months.”
TV coverage also presents local and regional businesses, plus national brands, with a golden opportunity to promote themselves by supporting Panthers on a commercial basis.
There are various packages available at the club and enquiries can be made by email -email- or by calling 07590 052100.
PANTHERS bosses can confirm their final signing is in place and will make a formal announcement early on Thursday morning via the club media channels and through our friends in the regional media.
