TROY Batchelor is a European Champions Cup winner!
The Peterborough star helped Vladivostok to success in the final of the competition at Balakovo, Russia, on Wednesday.
He was second top scorer for Vostok with 12 points as they beat SC Shakhtar Chervonograd and Latvian league champions SC Lokomotiv Daugavpils in the Final.
The Australian international scored 12 points and was one of three Vostok riders to hit the double figure mark.
Brothers Grigori and Artem Laguta accrued 14 and 11 points respectively as Vostok totally dominated the meeting, outscoring their rivals 43-23-11.
His dozen points came from two wins and three second places, his only defeats coming against home Balakovo riders Roman Povazhny and Magnus Zetterström.
SC Turbina from the host track, took part as a guest team but were not officially included in the classification.
Troy was flying back from Russia today in readiness for tomorrow night’s final Elite League match of the season at the East of England Showground.
